Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in program planning and supervision of cardiac testing, including outpatient treadmill exercise stress tests, nuclear exercise stress tests, pharmacologic stress tests, and stress echocardiography tests.
  • Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic testing and interpret EKGs to establish initial individualized exercise prescriptions.
  • Assure patient safety in the use of exercise equipment and manage all aspects of care for patients enrolled in supervised exercise training for PAD and during cardiac testing.
  • Assist in hemodynamic and physical measurements for all patients and assist in emergency management.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the field of exercise physiology and cardiology EKG rhythms and advise program directors and professional staff on optimal and safe program development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or fitness setting.
  • B.S. in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science from an accredited school or university.
  • MS preferred in a cardiac setting.
  • ACLS certification and completion of EKG course required.
  • ACSM certification and specialized training in cardiovascular disease or cardiac unit experience preferred.
