Position Overview: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse to provide outstanding medical support within a residential care setting. This full-time role features a 12-hour day shift, ideal for those who wish to engage closely with patients requiring specialized care. By becoming part of our organization, you will work in a medically intricate group home environment and collaborate with a team that appreciates your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular evaluations of client health and well-being
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Maintain comprehensive records of patient conditions and any changes
  • Work in partnership with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for care coordination
  • Oversee and manage ventilator use
  • Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed
  • Assist with nutritional support through tube feeding
  • Facilitate disease management strategies
  • Organize and coordinate medical appointments for clients

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Preferred experience with pediatric patients and in ICU/PCU settings
  • Training or experience in ventilator and tracheostomy care
  • Familiarity with care for individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
