Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant Supervisor to join our team at La Familia Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide clinical support to our dentists and dental hygienists, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to dentists and dental hygienists, including preparation of patients for procedures and assistance with usual and customary dental procedures.
  • Supervise and train dental assistants, ensuring they meet the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing day-to-day staffing of dental assistants, including arranging coverage for sick calls and vacations.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient data, including medication refills, laboratory reports, and patient dental visits.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Director and Associate Dental Director to develop and implement new policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED certificate and graduation from an ADA recognized certificate program.
  • State of New Mexico certification in Dental Assistant radiology and CPR.
  • Working knowledge of four-handed dentistry and instrument preparation, sterilization, and storage techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and dental hygienists.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
