We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team, you will assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in various specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive anesthesia procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for anesthesia procedures and assist in monitoring their condition during various anesthesia procedures.
- Anticipate the need for invasive procedures according to the daily OR schedule and assist in preparation and draping of patients.
- Provide technical support to anesthesia professional staff in the pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative areas for the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care.
- Maintain the availability of necessary equipment in each operating room and prepare and assemble transducer lines and equipment as necessary.
- Organize and maintain the anesthesia environment, equipment, and supplies to facilitate departmental functioning.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a fast-paced clinical setting required.
- Prior experience as an Anesthesia Technician or a current Anesthesia Tech student preferred.
- Annual BLS certification required.
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians is desired.
