About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our facilities support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform facilities support services, including project execution, work order management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical expertise in refrigeration systems, including -80 freezers and cascade systems.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Make recommendations for improving service delivery and procedures.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
  • Technical positions may require a certificate (a CFC Universal Card is required).
  • Previous experience in refrigeration, preferably with a strong background in preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and balance priorities.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to interact effectively with others.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of specialized outsourced suppliers and vendors.
