About the Role

California Retina Consultants is seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retina-only ophthalmology group. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire staff.

Job Description
  • Clinic Operations:
    • Oversee patient scheduling, registration, and intake processes to ensure efficient clinic operations.
    • Ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care, addressing any concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise clinical and administrative staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
    • Develop and implement staff schedules to optimize productivity.
    • Provide mentorship and support to encourage professional growth and development within the team.
  • Financial Management:
    • Work closely with Chief Operations Officer to monitor clinic revenue and expenses, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Oversee billing and coding processes to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and control costs.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve patient care outcomes.
    • Conduct regular audits of clinical processes and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare management, preferably in a retina practice or ophthalmology setting required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and practice management software.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and electronic medical records systems.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
