We are seeking a highly skilled ESOL Teacher to join our team at Charter Schools USA. As an ESOL Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students who require English language support.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Evaluation
- Identify students who require English language support and assess their language proficiency levels.
- Develop and implement diagnostic assessments to identify students' language strengths and weaknesses.
- Instructional Planning
- Develop and implement instructional plans to support students' language development.
- Select and utilize appropriate instructional materials and resources to support language instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Instruction
- Deliver high-quality language instruction to students, utilizing a range of instructional strategies and techniques.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Student Management
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic needs of all students.
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
- School and Community Relations
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
- Possession of valid teaching eligibility in ESOL.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
- Previous experience in student instruction.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of English language acquisition principles and practices.
