Clean Harbors is seeking a Hazardous Waste Incineration Chemist to oversee the operations related to the high-temperature destruction of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials at our industrial incineration facility. This role is based in a dynamic environment where safety and compliance are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
- Develop and implement a production strategy for the incineration unit, ensuring all inspections are conducted to meet production targets.
- Manage the scheduling of waste materials entering the facility.
- Create operational sequences for the Operations Manager(s) and/or Supervisors.
- Complete all necessary documentation for tracking waste materials.
- Ensure compliance with applicable QA/QC standards and regulations.
- Address issues when results deviate from required specifications.
- Conduct month-end inventory reconciliation and management.
- Collaborate with plant management to enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in industrial operations; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related science field is required.
- Proficiency in office applications, particularly MS Excel and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of chemical processes is essential.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.
