**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and maintenance vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards. Your primary focus will be on performing routine maintenance, conducting inspections, and completing documentation for repairs while working in a supportive environment with opportunities for growth.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Documentation: Complete detailed documentation for work orders and preventative maintenance through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Repair and Overhaul: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components.

**Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration & overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
