Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman-level Geospatial Engineer/Analyst with an active TS/SCI clearance to become a vital part of our team. In this capacity, you will extract and interpret geographic data from various sources, including satellite imagery and field reconnaissance, to produce diverse maps and databases. Your responsibilities will include developing and configuring solutions, implementing workflows, creating and managing data content, testing enhancements, and providing user support to our clients. You will also offer desk-side assistance to mission analysts and collaborate on larger project teams. Additionally, you will construct databases or data repositories from imagery and cartographic sources to facilitate the design of GIS databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and executing data automation, migration, and database development projects within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.
- Conduct basic and advanced processing tasks utilizing ArcGIS and other Esri products and extensions.
- Build databases or data repositories from imagery and cartographic sources; support the development of GIS database designs.
- Review, interpret, and apply established production processes.
- Execute map and web map production tasks.
- Provide skills to assist with user-system interaction implementation.
- Develop geoprocessing scripts using Python and SQL.
- Coordinate workflows with project and technical managers.
- Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in GIS.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in automated cartography, computer science, programming, and spatial analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with mobile and web applications is preferred.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Compensation: Salary range starts at $60,000+, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
