Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist role at Kreher Family Farms focuses on ensuring the optimal functioning and welfare of our hens by overseeing, improving, repairing, and replacing all electrical and mechanical systems throughout the farm. This position demands a solid understanding of the operational principles governing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in maintaining equipment and facilities is essential, along with expertise in specific technical areas. The responsibilities will be carried out both within the barns and across the outdoor farm environment.

This is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of at least 40 hours per week, with a start time around 7:00 AM. Various work schedules are available, including Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and knowledge in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and general building maintenance
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake overtime as necessary
  • A positive demeanor and commitment to responsibilities
  • Accurate documentation and proficient use of technology for monitoring progress
