Job Description:

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) plays a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This position requires availability during the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM AST (Alaska Time). In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care, prescribe appropriate medications, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using evidence-based interventions.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments for mental and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide timely and compassionate mental health care to patients.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work with mental health professionals, family members, and primary care providers to monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Maintain professional and clear communication with patients and colleagues.
Record Keeping and Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Education and Certification:
  • Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the relevant state.
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

**Estimated Salary:** $140,000 - $170,000 per year. **Location:** Alaska. **Job Type:** Full-time.
