Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse who will independently execute direct patient care responsibilities. Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver care that is appropriate for various developmental stages. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses the needs of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess advanced knowledge in nursing and foundational understanding of related disciplines, adhering to industry best practices and regulations.
- Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and lead initiatives, addressing complex challenges with innovative solutions.
- Influence customer service, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related areas, working autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Communicate complex information effectively and work towards consensus among team members.
- Supervise the patient care team and coordinate the care plan effectively.
- Ensure patient care aligns with safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards.
- Delegate and coordinate patient care using nursing expertise and evidence-based practices.
- Provide education and facilitate learning opportunities for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Advocate for patients and address ethical and clinical concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions while safeguarding patient health information.
- Adhere to infection control protocols.
- Deliver competent care with a focus on excellent customer relations and evidence-based practices.
- Continuously assess patient conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team, managing resources effectively for patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Required: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's).
- Current Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in critical care.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency.
