About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the ICU department. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and utilize the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care that meets the patient's needs.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead projects.
  • Impacts customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams.
  • Oversees patient care team and coordinates care plan.
  • Accountable for patient care meeting safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards.
  • Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Provides education and facilitates learning for patients, families, and team members.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plan.
  • Advocates for patient and resolves ethical and clinical concerns.
  • Accurately documents patient encounters and protects patient health information.
  • Adheres to infection prevention initiatives.
  • Delivers competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice.
  • Continuously evaluates patient condition and collaborates with healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
