Position Overview

Philly's Paws & Claws is seeking dedicated individuals for our pet care services. We are a comprehensive pet care provider, offering dog walking, pet sitting, dog daycare and boarding, pet transportation, and limited grooming services. We are looking to enhance our exceptional team of pet care experts.

Role Details
  • This position focuses on dog walking within private neighborhoods, with additional earning potential available through our local dog daycare.
  • Part-time hours are available, typically ranging from 15 to 25 hours per week, depending on client needs and your availability. There may be opportunities for additional work.
  • Our operational hours include dog daycare and transportation services from 8 AM to 7 PM, with dog walking available from 7 AM to 10 PM. Pet sitting services are offered during early mornings and late evenings.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can work Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.
Compensation Structure

Hourly Rate: $15 - $28 (New hires will begin training at $15 per hour. After 30 days, daycare staff will earn $17 per hour, while dog walkers typically earn between $20 and $28 per hour.)

Monthly Earnings: $500 - $2000 (New staff will start with a limited schedule. During peak times, experienced staff may earn over $2000 monthly.)

Key ResponsibilitiesDog Walking Duties
  • Provide pet transportation services, ensuring safe travel to and from daycare, veterinary appointments, and client residences.
  • Create a secure and positive atmosphere for pets both inside and outside of client homes.
  • Adhere to client-specific care instructions, including any training preferences.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a personal touch.
  • Utilize a dedicated app for communication with staff and clients via your smartphone.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks and visits are completed as scheduled.

We also prefer candidates who can assist in our daycare operations.

Daycare Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness in all animal areas, including indoor and outdoor runs, cat spaces, floors, dishes, and bedding.
  • Feed animals and administer medications as scheduled and requested.
  • Monitor pet health and behavior, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.
  • After training, perform bathing and light grooming for dogs visiting the daycare.
  • Manage inventory of daycare supplies.
  • Assist clients and staff with the drop-off and pick-up of dogs at the daycare.
