Job Title: QA Tester

Overview

The CENTECH GROUP, Inc. is seeking a skilled QA Tester to support the CENTECH SecurityManager program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring that all objectives are met and the solution works as expected.

This role requires a strong understanding of current government procedures, regulations, and industry publications related to the functional area specialty. You will work closely with our team to define and document functional area system requirements for multiple CENTECH SecurityManager contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports for upper management on project status
  • Provide day-to-day customer support to SharePoint portal end users for services needed to fulfill operating changes, new tasks, and incidents
  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
  • Deliver backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment, including validating stored procedures, jobs, and triggers
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans
  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts, such as test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience
  • Knowledge of MS-SQL Database
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle processes
  • Good knowledge of the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes applied to Web-based systems and web services
  • Must be customer service oriented and fully cognizant of the user experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate customer technical needs into technical specifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be a team player and be able to work within all levels of a project team
  • Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as follow detailed instructions for completing tasks
  • Must have the ability to pass a standard background investigation
  • U.S. Citizenship required
