We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical ICU Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures to assist the unit manager, professional staff, and physicians in providing patient care focused on the needs of the patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during times of crisis.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical technologies and best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required; CPR certification also required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program.
