- Scheduling and Staff Management: Create work schedules, arrange extra shifts as necessary.
- Asset Management: Oversee the use of company assets for the Delivery department.
- Equipment Maintenance: Organize necessary repairs when needed.
- Process Improvement: Review delivery processes and productivity reports, suggesting efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures.
- Customer and Sales Support: Communicate and collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to solve any customer or delivery issues.
- Customer Visits: Visit customers to address problems and evaluate delivery challenges.
- Associate Relations: Maintain positive associate relationships through regular meetings and open communication.
- Associate Morale: Monitor associate morale and propose initiatives for improved engagement.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and procedures consistently.
- Training and Development: Coordinate with the Safety department for training, observations, accident investigations, and safety inspections.
- Staff Management: Manage staff through selection, development, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of related experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Completion of a defensive driving program required; HazMat certification and Class A Commercial Driver License preferred.
- Professional Skills: Ability to lead discussions, solve problems, manage stress, and make independent decisions effectively.
- Required to talk, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, lift heavy weights, and have good vision abilities.
- Exposure to various environmental conditions and non-traditional business hours.
- Occasional travel may be required as per business needs.
- May encounter high places, fumes, and moderate noise levels in the work environment.
