Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Cath Lab, EP, or Interventional Radiology to join our team at Texas Children's North Austin Campus. As a Pediatric Catheterization Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in patient care, preparing patients for examinations, and administering medication as directed by physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in collecting patient data, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information.
  • Collect and document vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit.
  • Prepare patients for examination according to site protocol.
  • Administer medication and immunizations as directed by physicians.
  • Document administration of medication and immunizations in the medical record.
  • Provide patient education as instructed by physicians or site protocol.
  • Coordinate referrals and triage presenting patient complaints.
  • Verify provider orders and patient information.
  • Collect and process specimens according to manufacturer's instructions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent.
  • RN License - Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required.
  • 1 Year Professional Nursing Experience Required.
  • Cath Lab experience preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards for registered nurses in the Austin area.
