Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely document orders and manage Medication Administration Records (MAR)
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with MAR
  • Procure and manage medication supplies
  • Supervise and recruit medication technicians and personal care aides
  • Ensure adequate staffing and effective scheduling
  • Maintain updated case management documentation
  • Coordinate care with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Foster a supportive environment for both residents and staff
  • Provide support during staffing shortages
  • Ensure staff are well-trained and certified
  • Be available for emergencies and managerial responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with a minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care or assisted living
  • Current LPN license in New York
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with senior care is advantageous
  • Able to make informed decisions in the best interest of residents
  • Capable of lifting 25-35 pounds
