Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Milford Campus. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • We practice professional nursing within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model.
  • We establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families, encompassing an understanding and integration of cultural and diversity into practice.
  • We communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide holistic data collection, health care outcomes, and evaluation processes.
Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. BSN is preferred, and all newly hired registered nurses must have current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire.

Work Environment

The Registered Nurse will be exposed to physical, mental, and emotional illness, as well as end-of-life conditions and death. The nurse will also experience moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation packages, including estimated salary $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
