POSITION OVERVIEW
The Veteran Relations Coordinator will serve as the representative for UHS and its affiliated facilities, engaging with military bases and communities across designated regions. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with military personnel, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and veteran communities to enhance service referrals while addressing competitive challenges and ensuring client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should possess a background as a veteran, retired service member, or be a spouse of an active or retired military individual.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a case-by-case basis.
Experience:
A minimum of three years in healthcare marketing, sales, or related fields, with a preference for experience involving Tricare or military contexts.
Comprehensive understanding of military protocols and operational systems is advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel; must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
This role involves working within a designated territory to develop partnerships and promote hospital services. The assigned territory may evolve based on organizational needs. Frequent travel away from the home facility, including overnight stays and potential out-of-state travel, is expected.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands exceed those of sedentary work. Tasks may include: (1) significant walking or standing; (2) sitting while operating controls; or (3) maintaining a production pace while managing materials.
Essential functions include: Grasping; Speaking; Hearing; Computer usage; Visual acuity (including color and depth perception); Sitting; Walking; Standing; Pushing; Pulling; Reaching; Lifting; Operating a motor vehicle; Climbing stairs.
