About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Care Options for Kids. As a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized plans of care. Administer care as ordered by physicians and oversee other team members as needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document patient progress, prepare and revise plans of care, and maintain accurate records of patient interactions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and continuing education requirements to maintain expertise and enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Master's or higher degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in good standing and active state license to practice Speech Therapy.
  • Experience and Skills: Pediatric focus and/or school-based experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills, effective time management, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
