Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

The SLP will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and help students improve their communication skills to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in students from PreK-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), to meet students' specific communication needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings, addressing areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language therapy into classroom instruction.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy methods and goals as needed to ensure continued improvement.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and recommendations for services, accommodations, and interventions.
  • Train and support teachers and parents in communication strategies that foster language development in and out of the classroom.
  • Stay current with best practices in the field of speech-language pathology and apply evidence-based interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Colorado SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student learning and development.
