Ship Repair Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship Repair Specialist to join our team at the waterfront terminal. As a Ship Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for performing in-house and mobile repairs, including heavy stick welding and plasma cutting.

The salary for this position is approximately $75,000 per year, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Repairs: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all shipping containers and chassis.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Conduct welding and fabrication during routine and extensive repair of containers and chassis.
  • Damage Assessment: Measure and gauge damage for estimates and reparability.

Requirements:

  • Chassis Maintenance: Experience in maintaining and repairing chassis.
  • Stick Welding: Proficiency in stick welding techniques.
  • Structural Welding: Ability to weld structural components ranging from 3/16" to 1" thickness.
