Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment to obtain visual information for use in interpretation and diagnosis by physicians.
  • Assist radiologists in special procedures and ensure patient safety during examinations.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and obtain consent when necessary.
  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, selecting equipment according to examination specifications.
  • Identify and judge the quality of images, and discuss results with supervisory personnel.
  • Transport patients, prepare and administer contrast media, and perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and completion of training courses in Ultrasound Technology, Nuclear Medicine, and CT scan where available.
  • Maintenance of state licenses as required.
