Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist Pool II to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a Recreation Therapist Pool II, you will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, facilitating, directing, and evaluating experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, plans, implements, facilitates, directs, and evaluates programming in all specialized treatment areas.
  • Maintains basic staffing needs and daily functioning of the department in the leader's absence.
  • Coordinates, evaluates, and supervises student interns.
  • Provides individualized treatment within a group setting.
  • Aware of CBT and DBT skills.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required. A Master's degree in these areas is preferred.
  • Certification/registration through an appropriate credentialing board preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within thirty (30) days of hire, with annual re-certification.
  • Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required within sixty (30) days of hire, with annual re-certification, including self-defense training.
