Key Responsibilities

As a Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that essential medical imaging devices are functioning effectively and accurately. Your expertise will empower healthcare teams to utilize diagnostic equipment confidently, thanks to your commitment to both Preventative Maintenance (PM) and timely equipment repairs.

This role encompasses specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment, including:

  • Conducting repairs and maintenance primarily on general imaging devices such as X-Ray units, Portable X-Ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR Units, and Mammography units.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records for all work orders, from initiation to completion.
  • Assisting in the procurement of parts and supplies to ensure cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
  • Providing on-call support on a rotating schedule and undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Repairing and maintaining medical equipment under service contracts and performing general biomedical tasks as necessary.
  • Offering insights to the Clinical Engineering Manager regarding potential new service opportunities within the areas served by the division.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military training, technical program completion, or validated experience through training certifications.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in servicing technical equipment, with a preference for experience with Philips imaging devices.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
