About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services Unit at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.

As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and their families. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of babies, as well as providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of laboring mothers
  • Assist in delivery, including C-Sections
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
