Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Med Surg will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide education to patients and families on medication management, treatment instructions, and post-discharge care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Provide education to patients and families on medication management, treatment instructions, and post-discharge care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure with active Florida licensure within 60 days of hire.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
