We're seeking a skilled RN Case Manager to join our team of travel nurses in Detroit, MI. As a RN Case Manager, you'll work with a collaborative team to advocate for patients, evaluate, plan, and provide resources to facilitate communication with family members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and assessing new patients
- Creating and updating comprehensive short and long-term patient care plans
- Educating families and patients about resources and healthcare options
- Collaborating with other RNs, doctors, and social workers
- Properly documenting and submitting medical records
- Communicating with insurance companies to collaborate or appeal decisions
- Improving financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
As a Case Management Travel Nurse, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods, carry up to 10 pounds of weight, and bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
You'll need to manage a fluctuating caseload during times of high census and work efficiently in a collaborative environment. Good oral and written communication skills are essential to communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
Requirements:
- BLS, 2 Years
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
