Special Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Assistant to join our team at ProCare Therapy.
This is a full-time position, working with an elementary grade student, requiring 30+ hours of work per week.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with kids, preferably in a behavioral caseload, and be comfortable redirecting behavior and helping with classroom work.
Some toileting may be required, and the successful candidate will start as a substitute teacher before transitioning to a full-time role.
About the RoleThis position involves working one-on-one with an elementary grade student, providing support with their educational needs and assisting with behavioral issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting the student's academic and social growth, and collaborating with the teaching staff to develop individualized education plans.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
Requirements- Experience working with kids and preferably in a behavioral caseload
- Previous school experience preferred
- A competitive salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
