Cardiac Sonographer

McLaren Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our Cardio Non Invasive department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures that require ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment on patients.
Key Responsibilities- Specialize in performing cardiac ultrasound diagnostic studies, including m-mode, two-dimensional cardiac ultrasound, Doppler color flow studies, stress echos, and AV optimization procedures.
- Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients and ensure their individual needs are met.
- Operate and maintain all assigned ultrasound scanning equipment to ensure it works properly.
- Position patients, select appropriate transducers and machine settings, and conduct scanning procedures to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
- Complete quality assurance processes and practices, and comply with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Satisfactory completion of a formal cardiac sonographer training program (1-4 years) must be registry eligible and attain certification within one year
- Current BLS certification
