Position Summary
Chevron Products Company is currently seeking applications for the role of Refinery Experienced Electrician. This position is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of our facilities. The Electrician will be stationed at a refinery and will be tasked with a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction duties that require advanced skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all work is performed efficiently and in compliance with established procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
- Engage in troubleshooting, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Disassemble, remove, assemble, and install equipment as necessary.
- Maintain and repair control systems and equipment, including both analog and digital devices.
- Work on power systems and equipment such as motors, transformers, and circuit breakers.
- Utilize hand, power, and precision tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently while planning and organizing work effectively.
- Estimate labor and material needs while optimizing resource use.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues across various departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficient in using Electrical Test Equipment.
- Experience with trade-specific pneumatic tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in refining or petrochemical industries.
- 5+ years as a Journey-Level Electrician.
- Certification as a Journey-Level Electrician.
- Additional certifications in protective relays, power circuit breakers, or electrical technology.
Testing and Assessments
Selected candidates will undergo a series of assessments to evaluate their skills and aptitude relevant to the role.
Relocation and International Considerations
Relocation may be considered within company parameters. Expatriate assignments are not available for this position.
