Job Opportunity at Lansing Building Products

Lansing Building Products, a leading supplier of high-quality building products, is seeking a skilled CDL A or B Local Straight Truck Driver to join our team in Portsmouth, NH. As a representative of our company, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a late-model truck with backup cameras and manual transmission
  • Split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
  • Use a Moffett forklift to make deliveries and interact with customers and crews at job sites
  • Provide exceptional service to each customer and strive to improve that level of service
  • Keep the warehouse clean and orderly
Requirements:
  • CDL-B (or A) license required
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Minimum one year driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Moffett forklift experience (will train as needed)
  • Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck (will train as needed)
  • Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus, and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
  • Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 80+ pounds
  • Experience with building products is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
  • No DUI/DWI within the last 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
Benefits:
  • $27-$31 per hour with 40 hours guaranteed
  • Overtime eligible position (overtime is not guaranteed)
  • Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

  • 8 paid holidays, 6 days paid sick time, and 12 accrued paid vacation days

Work Schedule:
  • Home every night
  • Monday through Friday schedule, generally no weekend work
  • Shifts typically start between 7:00 AM (sometimes earlier) and end at approximately 5:00 PM
