Job Summary

Lansing Building Products, a leading supplier of high-quality building products, is seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A or B Local Straight Truck Driver to join our team in Portsmouth, NH. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering building products to customers in the local area while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver building products to customers in the local area, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Operate a straight truck, navigating through congested urban areas and adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Load and unload building products from the truck, using a moffett forklift as needed
  • Interact with customers and crews at job sites, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to safety protocols and company standards
  • Perform other functions as needed, such as cycle counts, inventory, and inside sales
Requirements
  • CDL A or B license required
  • At least one year of driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Moffett forklift experience (training provided as needed)
  • Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck (training provided as needed)
  • Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus, and as a contributing member of a larger team
  • Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 80+ pounds
  • Experience with building products is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
  • No DUI/DWI within the last 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
Benefits
  • $27-$31 per hour with 40 hours guaranteed
  • Overtime eligible position (overtime is not guaranteed)
  • Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

Work Environment

As a CDL A or B Local Straight Truck Driver with Lansing Building Products, you will enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule, with generally no weekend work. You will be home every night, with shifts typically starting between 7:00 AM and ending at approximately 5:00 PM. Our fleet is comprised of late-model trucks with backup cameras, and we are a manual fleet.
