Position Overview

The Program Representative plays a crucial role in overseeing the procurement and production of Ship Alteration material kits, which are essential for supporting commissioned vessels. This position involves managing cost efficiency, strategic planning, scheduling, and executing projects tailored for various Navy clients. The representative will serve as a key liaison between Groton and external offices concerning budgeting, acquiring new projects, estimating contract modifications, procurement, and manufacturing activities.

Hands-on involvement may be necessary to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budgetary constraints.

Core Responsibilities
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while showing a willingness to learn.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Project Management.
  • Familiarity with submarines and associated equipment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a Naval Shipyard setting.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary planning is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) that support Project Management.
