About the Role

The Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician is a skilled professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment at Covanta facilities. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on industrial equipment, including shredders, conveyers, and heavy equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair and build secondary equipment.
  • Complete equipment maintenance records and reports.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to read precision instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with forklift maintenance, heavy equipment, and industrial maintenance.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
  • Climbing ladders and structures; must be able to tolerate heights.

Work Schedule

Typically, Monday through Friday, day shift, 6am to 4pm, with occasional overtime.
