Key Responsibilities
The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor as they arrive at our facilities.
- Updating patient information, including demographics and insurance details, and collecting necessary payments.
- Facilitating the check-out process by providing visit summaries and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Verifying patient insurance status and addressing any discrepancies.
- Managing patient charges and payments, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
- Maintaining organized documentation through scanning and uploading relevant files.
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail and documents, while keeping the workspace tidy.
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office environment is preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- A valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and computer systems is advantageous.

- Proficiency in filing and organizing documents accurately.
Work Environment
- Patient-facing role with a mix of office and potential remote work.
- Indoor work setting with occasional travel to other office locations as required.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve manual dexterity and the operation of office equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, touch, and smell, with the capacity to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
