Job Title: Chemistry Technologist

North American Science Associates, Inc. is a leading provider of medical device testing and development solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Chemistry Technologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Chemistry Technologist will be responsible for performing routine test article preparation, executing testing per NAMSA SOPs, and communicating test schedule updates to management as needed. The successful candidate will also provide on-the-job training and assure testing/test article preparation/product is performed within due dates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine test article preparation according to work instructions.
  • Execute routine testing per NAMSA SOPs, with appropriate data analysis.
  • Communicate test schedule updates to NAMSA management as needed.
  • Provide on-the-job training.
  • Assure testing/test article preparation/product is performed within due dates.
  • Prepare and maintain reagents and/or test articles as required for testing.
  • Maintain ancillary records (logbooks, worksheets).
  • Maintain relevant supplies and equipment used in routine testing.
  • Route all excursions or unusual testing occurrences to management.
  • May order and/or stock supplies subject to approval.
  • May be responsible for checking laboratory equipment, being on-call, and responding to continuous monitoring alarms.
  • Perform routine calculations, interpret results.
  • May operate autoclave.
  • May communicate with Clients to clarify testing requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and at least 4 years of experience, or Bachelor degree and no experience.
  • Sound judgment with effective decision making skills and the ability to solve problems or escalate as needed.
  • Knowledge of metric system, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation.
  • Ability to work in GMP/GLP environment.

Extensive use of computer keyboard; operate computer equipment.

Pay Range:

Minimum: $17.79

Target: $25.00

Pay Frequency: Hourly

Please note that individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
