About the Position:

Dear Media, a pioneering multi-platform media company, is seeking an experienced Editorial Director to spearhead our content strategy and lead our team of writers and editors. As the Editorial Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our editorial standards, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Strategy: Develop, implement, and oversee editorial strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and audience.
  • Content Quality: Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with brand voice.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of writers and editors. Provide guidance on editorial standards, tone, and voice to maintain consistency across all content.
  • Content Calendar: Oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring timely production and publication of content, Coordinate with various departments to align on business initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Edit up to 10+ stories per day across all platforms.
  • Content Distribution: Produce high-quality written content daily on dearmedia.com
  • Content Curation: Create and send editorially curated emails
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on the latest digital media trends and incorporate into editorial strategy
  • Audience Insights: Understand audience behavior and needs, to ensure the company is serving the best target audiences.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify new opportunities for growth and audience development
  • Industry Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and thought leaders
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in digital media with at least 3 years in a senior editorial role
  • Content Strategy: Proven track record of developing successful content strategies
  • Content Management: Experience overseeing multi-platform content from brainstorm to execution, while keeping up with daily deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and management experience
  • SEO and Analytics: Deep understanding of SEO and analytics
  • Social Media: Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices in social media marketing
