We are currently seeking a Corporate Risk Management Specialist to enhance our Risk Management team.

The Corporate Risk Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in upholding and refining the company's risk management and insurance framework, bond and surety program, and compliance measures. This individual will mentor the risk management team, develop and sustain systems and processes that support various internal controls, and serve as a trusted advisor within the organization. Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats will be essential. The Specialist will assist in implementing strategies to mitigate and remediate incidents while determining the most effective methods to manage risk. This role involves overseeing the corporate risk management framework and claims management, collaborating with internal clients, insurance brokers, and providers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management and Insurance:
  • Manage the company's risk management framework and insurance programs effectively.
  • Lead the insurance renewal processes, including gathering internal information, organizing stakeholder meetings, and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely and compliant handling of all claims.
  • Proactively manage claims to ensure swift resolution and appropriate reserves.
  • Respond promptly to insurance-related requests, including certificates of insurance, contract reviews, and claims notices.
  • Plan and administer risk and crisis management strategies.
  • Conduct operational risk analyses to assess insurance needs.
  • Identify opportunities for improving operational practices.
  • Develop risk management reporting and data analysis.
  • Oversee all insurance quotes, policies, and renewal presentations.
  • Review contracts to ensure adequate insurance coverage and risk transfer provisions.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to pursue risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Monitor insurance market trends and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Offer technical advice on insurance matters and loss prevention.
  • Coordinate insurance submissions and work closely with the risk management team and brokers.
  • Compile claims loss and financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Lead internal risk-related initiatives to foster risk awareness across the organization.
  • Stay informed about insurance industry trends and advise the company accordingly.
  • Provide general support to the Risk Management Department as needed.
Bond and Surety:
  • Develop and manage a surety bond program that effectively addresses the company's risks.
  • Respond promptly to surety-related requests, including bond applications and reference letters.
  • Advise teams on bond structure and surety expectations.
  • Manage relationships with surety and brokers.
  • Track and finalize completed bonds to maximize bonding capacity.
  • Stay updated on surety industry trends and advise the company on relevant opportunities.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in corporate risk management or insurance brokerage.
  • A bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Management, or a related field.
