Position Summary: The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional care within a primary care clinic environment. This position focuses on fostering a supportive atmosphere for employees while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team.
Location: Waupaca Foundry - Hall Ave Suite H Marinette, WI
Work Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours each, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Primary Duties:
- Greet patients upon arrival and guide them through available services.
- Assist with the patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage front desk responsibilities in the absence of the front office assistant.
- Coordinate and manage onsite clinic appointments.
- Handle clinic communications, including calls, emails, and walk-ins.
- Guide patients through employer benefit programs.
- Execute provider orders in accordance with state regulations.
- Conduct clinical intake, including vital signs and patient history documentation.
- Assist patients with mobility and specimen collection as necessary.
- Optimize patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Complete patient referrals and follow-up calls as required.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
- Participate in worksite events, such as biometric screenings and vaccination drives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Ability to maintain required certifications as mandated by state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with clinical intake, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
