Job Title: Lead Medical Technologist

CARTI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Medical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the highest quality of patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, including testing personnel and medical assistants.
  • Manage the laboratory schedule to ensure efficient workflow and adequate staffing.
  • Perform and verify laboratory tests, analyze blood cells, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in leadership development and contribute to the growth and success of the laboratory team.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher in Medical Technology, plus internship experience.
  • Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician through ASCP, NCA, or AMT.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures, plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, be flexible, and do what is necessary to get the job done right in a timely manner.
Work Environment:

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. Team members are offered appropriate vaccinations and safety training.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
