Project Manager, SCADA Engineering

Job Summary:
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager, SCADA Engineering to oversee the design, development, operation, and technical support of the Authority's Water and Wastewater Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and participate in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of control logic for programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Manage and participate in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of Human Machine Interface (HMI) software
- Manage, install, maintain, and troubleshoot the SCADA networks and the SCADA PCs
- Ensure that work on new and modified monitoring and control systems includes preparation of project scope and P & ID drawings through user interview, PLC and HMI program testing, documentation, and training
- Ensure in-house and consultant compliance with the SCADA standards
- Monitor in detail the SCADA programming, testing, and startup work of consultants and integrators
- Coordinate the testing, startup, and training needs associated with the monitoring and control systems
- Install, maintain, and monitor SCADA security systems
- Create and maintain up-to-date records and documentation on SCADA network, PC, and PLC installations
- Manage SCADA tag databases and coordinate any necessary changes
- Ensure that SCADA data is backed up on local nodes and on the network archive system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
- Five to seven years of experience in the installation, operation, and maintenance of process control systems, with a minimum of two years in the water/wastewater or comparable industry
- Two to four years of experience with ladder logic and HMI programming (Allen Bradley PLC and GE Proficy iFIX Software preferred)
- Two to four years of supervisory experience
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License, FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, or ability to obtain within six months
- Valid Massachusetts Grade II Water Distribution or Treatment Licenses, or Grade II Wastewater Collection System Certification, or Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant certification, or ability to obtain same within six months
- Certification in Confined Space Entry or ability to pass MWRA Confined Space Training within six months
Benefits:
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority offers a competitive salary range of $88,012.08 to $123,057.48 annually.
