Job Summary

Penobscot Community Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Brewer Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and services. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication dispensing, maintain inventory, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to pharmacists in the preparation, organization, and dispensing of medications.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and placing/expediting orders as appropriate.
  • Perform pharmacy cashier functions, collecting and reconciling payment for prescriptions and pharmacy merchandise.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Engage and support patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and practice teams to improve the patient experience and clinic processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Registered with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes required.
