We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Research & Innovation team at Energy Impact Partners. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment deal flow for cybersecurity-specific companies, assisting our strategic LPs in transforming their security strategies, and accelerating commercialization for our cybersecurity portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate Sector Research & Insight: Support market analysis on a wide variety of topics, synthesizing industry research and data from diverse sources to generate insight that's simply unavailable anywhere else.
- Engage Our Strategic Partners: Support working groups of subject matter experts and operational leaders from our strategic partner consortium, including CISOs and senior leaders, managing complex IT and OT cybersecurity programs.
- Establish Thought Leadership: Help share our insight, both internally and externally, to promote EIP's views both within and outside of our immediate ecosystem.
- Create Value for EIP Investment Strategy & Portfolio: Collaborate with our investment teams to source deal opportunities and build conviction in investment decisions.
- 2-3 years of experience in market analysis, management consulting, corporate strategy, or other relevant fields.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (cybersecurity, economics, energy studies, computer/electrical engineering, business administration, or similar).
- Prior experience, or demonstrated interest in, the cybersecurity or energy tech sectors.
- Experience with ICS/OT security standards and frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP, NIST SP or IT equivalents (ISO 27000, NIST SP or broader strategy frameworks like the NIST CSF or DOE C2M2).
- Relevant cybersecurity certification (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, GCIP, ISA) (optional, but preferred).
- Excellent analytical skills and capability to assess complex business cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in fast-paced environment with limited oversight.
- An independent mindset and intellectual curiosity.
- A proven track record of working effectively on a team and being a good teammate.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Benefits
Compensation for this role is $90,000 and is bonus eligible.
