About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Houghton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a key member of our dietary services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality food services.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for residents, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Assist in inventorying and storing food, supplies, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Monitor and maintain food storage areas, ensuring proper storage and rotation of food products.
  • Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the Food Service Director or designee.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
