POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Trials Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the execution of clinical research protocols within a clinical environment, focusing on the screening, enrollment, and oversight of study participants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
- Collecting, preparing, and dispatching laboratory specimens for clinical investigations.
- Conducting EKGs, vital sign assessments, spirometry, and other procedures as specified by the study protocol.
- Acting as the primary coordinator for research protocols in a clinical environment.
- Guiding the execution of clinical studies to ensure compliance with research protocols and providing progress updates to the Principal Investigator.
- Reviewing subject records, databases, and physician referrals to identify potential candidates for research protocols.
- Engaging with and educating potential human subjects about participation in studies and securing informed consent.
- Creating study binders for assigned protocols to outline compliance guidelines and ensure thorough source documentation.
- Overseeing data collection in accordance with the research protocol, operational manual, and case report form guidelines while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Recording research-related examinations, procedures, tests, and other activities in the appropriate clinical binders.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
· Performing various clerical tasks including drafting correspondence, word processing, photocopying, filing, faxing, mailing, assembling, and distributing forms, manuals, and informational packets.
· Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
· Proficiently operating basic office equipment.
· Skillfully using laboratory equipment.
