POSITION SUMMARY

The Rig Operations Supervisor oversees crew activities, upholds productivity benchmarks, and collaborates closely with clients to ensure that high-quality products and services are delivered safely. The Supervisor should possess a comprehensive understanding of all components of a Workover Rig and be capable of diagnosing mechanical issues with the rig and associated equipment on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engages with management regarding the logistics and workflow of rig operations.
  • Collaborates with the District Manager on rig staffing, scheduling, operational, and personnel issues.
  • Provides clear guidance and direction to rig personnel on job responsibilities.
  • Conducts BOP inspections and testing as required.
  • Assists HSE, DOT, and other necessary departments with document management.
  • Operates the power swivel, crown, and ground saver as necessary.
  • Accurately performs torque calculations and specifications.
  • Implements fall protection procedures as required.
  • Assists in the racking of rod tubing when necessary.
  • Manages daily operations of the Tong's as needed.
  • Handles the pulling and laying down of rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as required.
  • Ensures the work site, equipment, and tools are maintained in a clean and functional state.
  • Understands Hazard ID cards and near-miss reports, adhering to standard operating procedures for their completion.
  • Participates in the daily inspection and upkeep of equipment.
  • Successfully executes elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation protocols.
  • Ensures effective maintenance and use of all equipment.
  • Trains and mentors crew members on the proper use of down-hole tools, power swivels, and compressors.
  • Monitors costs, labor, and revenues related to jobs, providing weekly cost analyses to the operations manager to ensure budgetary compliance and time management.
  • Coordinates repairs for all equipment and tools.
  • Offers technical support, supervision, and training to team members on-site to ensure adherence to schedules and procedures.
  • Fosters a positive work environment for the rig crew, including training and coaching in their assigned duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 5-8 years of experience in well servicing rig operations preferred.
  • Must be capable of fulfilling the roles of a rig operator, floor hand, and derrick hand.
  • Familiarity with pump and tank operations is essential.
  • Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Ability to perform manual labor necessary for operating well servicing equipment.
  • Knowledge of operating tongs and other Ranger Energy equipment is essential.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office is preferred.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Completion and passing of all necessary pre-employment screenings are mandatory.
